Philadelphia Inquirer Editor Stan Wischnowski will be the guest speaker at The Press Club monthly luncheon on Wednesday, May 18th at the Edgmont Country Club, West Chester Pike, Edgmont. Doors open 11:45 for registration and networking. The Luncheon will  begin at 12 noon.

In his more than 26 years of newspaper experience, Wischnowski has filled a wide range of managerial roles. As editor of the Inquirer, he now manages a newsroom of 275 staffers and serves as a member of the company's Operating Committee. He recently led an effort to retool the newsroom with state-of-the-art technology as well as an initiative to integrate more fully with philly.com, the news website for Philadelphia Media Network.

He arrived at the Inquirer in 2000 after working at several metropolitan papers in New York and Michigan where he won many prestigious awards. Before becoming the Inquirer's editor in October 2010, he was the deputy managing editor responsible for overseeing the front page, running the afternoon news meeting, managing the newsroom budget and representing management for the Inquirer and Daily News during the most recent Guild contract negotiations.

Luncheons are open to the public. Cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. Walk-ins are welcomed, but reservations sent to RSVP@ThePressClubPA.org are encouraged.
